Surrendering a Cat

If you are asking to SURRENDER a cat, you must fill out the surrender questionnaire. If you do not hear from us within 14 days, we are too full to accept your surrender at this time. In the meantime, please continue contacting other local rescues and shelters.

You will be required to send video or at least photo proof that you can handle the cat and that it is friendly. We DO NOT accept feral or semi-feral cats. We also do not accept out-of-state transfers.

Volunteers at the shelter who answer the phone cannot approve or expedite surrenders, they don't have the authority. Please do not call. You must submit the form. Monitor your email inbox as all communication from Whiskers will be by email.
